Core Elements of Student Support at Fulford
Academic Advisors
Each student is paired with an academic advisor who provides ongoing support, helps set goals, and ensures they stay on track to meet academic milestones. Our advisors are available to assist with course selection, university applications, and academic progress.
Mentorship Programs
Fulford Academy pairs students with mentors, including faculty members and upper-grade students, who offer guidance, share experiences, and help students navigate both academic and personal challenges.
Counseling & Well-Being
We understand that mental and emotional well-being is essential for academic success. Our counselling services are available to help students manage stress, address personal issues, and develop resilience for their academic journey.
Cultural Support
For our international students, we offer cultural integration programs to help them adjust to life in Canada. This includes guidance on cultural differences, language development, and connecting with peers.
What to Expect From the Advisor Program
Each student at Fulford Academy is assigned a staff advisor who meets with them to discuss academic, social, and co-curricular progress. If the advisor feels it necessary, they can communicate with families to discuss concerns or achievements. At all reporting periods, Heads of House will include a comment from the advisor for the family of their student on successes, challenges, and any strategies they are putting in place for improvement.
