About This Program
Fulford Academy’s Spring Term Program provides a head start to students’ academic journey in Canada. Our specially designed program is perfect for Japanese international students who are looking to transition into grade 9 or 10 at a Canadian secondary school in September and is only available to ESL students from countries like Japan, where the academic year ends in March, allowing them to begin in April.
Through this program, students with limited English proficiency strengthen their language skills and acquire three credits towards their OSSD (four credits if registered for the Extended Spring Term Program). This preparation provides a stronger foundation in English and understanding of the academic courses they will undertake in September.
With small class sizes, personalized support, and a safe, engaging environment at Fulford Academy, we give students the tools to grow academically and socially to confidently transition to the next level.

Extended Spring Program
Students who arrive in April for the Spring Term Program can stay an additional four weeks to earn a 4th academic credit, while they continue to increase their English skills, opening the door to Grade 9 or 10 in September.
