Preparation for Academic Studies in English
Through a small, supportive classroom environment, students strengthen their English language abilities while engaging in core subjects such as Math, Science, and Social Studies to develop both subject knowledge and the confidence to understand instruction in an English-speaking classroom.
Smooth Transition to Boarding School Life
Our program introduces students to boarding school routines, culture, and community life, helping them adjust socially and gain familiarity, while forming friendships and building a sense of belonging before the school year begins.
Leadership and Personal Development
Leadership building and character development are an essential part of the program, equipping students with the self-confidence, independence, and interpersonal skills needed for success both in and out of the classroom.
Outdoor Retreat at Christy Lake Camp
At the end of the program, students enjoy a fun and relaxing 3-day adventure camp at Christy Lake Camp before returning to Fulford Academy for the All-School Orientation and Arrival Day. This experience ensures that students feel confident, prepared, and fully integrated—just like returning students.
Adventure Beyond the Classroom
Students may choose from a variety of activities and trips. The outings range from educational experiences to those that are purely for fun, and give students the opportunity to improve their communication and social skills together.
Examples of Students' Activities
- 1000 Island Boat Cruise (Brockville)
- Ottawa Parliament Buildings
- Water Parks/Amusement Parks (Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa)
