About This Program
The University Qualification Year (UQY) at Fulford Academy is designed for students who have completed their high school education and wish to improve their English language skills and academic readiness before entering Canadian universities.
This specialized program focuses on preparing students for success in university courses by enhancing academic English proficiency and providing targeted support for university applications.

IELTS Preparation
Students receive focused instruction to help them achieve competitive IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores, a key requirement for university admission in Canada and globally.
University-Readiness
This program includes academic writing, research skills, and critical thinking courses to ensure that students are fully prepared for university-level study.
Fall or Winter Enrollment:
Unlike most private or independent schools that only offer full-year programs, students have the advantage of starting at Fulford in September for the Fall Term or in February for the Winter Term. Each Term consists of 4 academic credits and allows flexibility for a student's timetable to meet OSSD diploma requirements.
